IECEE proposed a specified transition period for the full implementation of BATT IEC62133

In order to minimize the impact on Batteries and System manufacturer when implementing IEC 62133, IECEE proposed a 2-year specified transition period. Vendors shall follow the schedule when evaluating and verifying the safety of Battery Pack and Cell.

According to the requirement proposed by IECEE Certification Management Committee (CMC), vendors who applies for the CB certificate for Battery Pack and Cell products shall follow the specified transition schedule to ensure compliance with IEC 62133.
