The changing of Korea Customs Clearance law: ITE shall show product certificate when importing

According to the Custom Act NO.2009-115, vendors might need to provide KCC certificate to help their ITE products clearing South Korean custom from January 2010. Korea Custom Service (KCS) announced Custom Act No.2009-115 on October, 2009, and it will be implemented as of January, 2010. According to the Custom Act No. 2009-115, any certified ITE equipment by Radio Wave Act (RWA) shall show its certificate at Korea Customs Clearance site, or Customs clearance officer will check with their own database whether it has been certified or not. However, KCC has not linked their database with KCS yet, so it would be inevitable to show copy/original KCC certificate on every shipment imported to South Korea. Due to this inconvenience, KCC may amend Radio Wave Act soon.
