WiMAXCert
is available for booking mobile 3.5GHz profiles certification test
Reservation
for WiMAX Forum 3.5GHz Certification Test via WiMAXCert is open!
WiMAX Forum has announced Certification Test of 3.5GHz profiles
will start on Oct 1, 2008. Now the profiles have been added into
WiMAXCert system, it means you can reserve a time slot to Bureau
Veritas ADT any time. WiMAXCert is a centralized booking system
controlled by WiMAX Forum, you can follow below steps to complete
whole reservation:
How to reserve
a WiMAX Forum Certification time slot?
ˇEStep 1: Visit WiMAX
Forum member website. Roll down the scroll bar of member home
page and click the first link of "Certification Resources". Then,
turn to WiMAX Certification Program.
ˇEStep 2: Click the blue bar name "WiMAXCert" and you will
be connected to WiMAXCert Tool. Please note only Principle Members
can access this and only 2 accounts a principle member company can
use.
ˇEStep 3: Complete Request for Quotation, select Bureau Veritas
ADT as certification lab and fill in the beginning date you prefer.
After that, we will contact you in shortly.
If WiMAXCert
has any problem when you access, please do not hesitate to contact
us.

Bureau
Veritas ADT become a WFDVL
To speed up
WiMAX Forum's validation work with current limited resource, Bureau
Veritas ADT planed to apply the WFDVL (WiMAX Forum Designated Validation
Lab) from July 2008. In Denver's WiMAX Forum CWG F2F meeting this
year, Bureau Veritas ADT had a presentation to show its plan on
3.5 GHz validation and wish to provide additional resource for WiMAX
Forum's validation work. With active application and well preparation,
Bureau Veritas ADT sent out its formal proposal for the WFDVL in
August, and got a formal reply from WiMAX Forum CWG on Sep. 5th,
which said Bureau Veritas ADT was approved to be a WFDVL after the
CWG TCVal committee meeting and review. Bureau Veritas ADT was please
to know this and expected to begin the validation work soon.

Bureau
Veritas ADT completed two M-Taiwan Base Station Interoperatility
tests. It is a leader for this testing in Taiwan.
Bureau Veritas
ADT, accredited for M-Taiwan test, also the first WiMAX Forum Designated
Certification Laboratory (WFDCL) in Taiwan, is proud to announce
that it has completed first and second M-Taiwan Base Station Interoperability
tests in Taiwan. M-Taiwan Interoperability test is the last step
to help customerˇ¦s device obtain 1st stage of M-Taiwan logo. Both
devices are 2.5GHz base stations. Bureau Veritas ADT is a leader
of WiMAX testing in Taiwan.

Latest WiMAX and Wi-Fi Certification Status Seminar
Bureau Veritas
ADT held the seminar on Sept. 10th in its head office. There were
85 attendees attending the seminar from 28 companies, including
12 WiMAX Forum principal members. The topics covered Wi-Fi testing
standards, WiMAX RPT test cases, WCB and the latest updates on CWG
2.5Hz/3.5Hz certification. Furthermore, we specified some FAQs that
may occur when a principle member apply for certification. The attendees
were very interested in this session and some of them proposed more
questions, summarized as below, that have occured or may occur to
them.

certification
ˇETwo-year storage period of WiMAX Forum's policy
ˇETest policy in the case that the brand is owed by another different
company or one company has 2 or more brands
ˇECost issue concering a product family certified at the same time

Israel
opens IEEE802.11n draft 2 product certification
September 4,
2008 MOC (Ministry of Communications) has announced that starting
now the IEEE 802.11n draft 2 products (using 40 MHz channels) can
be certified in Israel. There are some limitations applied to the
use of this MIMO technology, and the Importers that get certificates
of IEEE 802.11n draft 2 products must alert the customers of the
products about this limitation.
