Forum CWG activities in November 2008
WiMAX Forum
CWG F2F meeting will be held on Nov. 5 in Dallas. There have been
several important topics discussed through the conference call and
/ or requests for comments by mail. It expects to have the conclusion
during the meeting in Dallas. Therefore, the interested members
please follow each conference call and mails to provide the decent
opinions ASAP. Attending the meeting in Dallas is preferred. The
topics include:
(1) 3.5GHz
update for Validation and Certification
To attend this topic you will be updated with the details of validation
and certification status for 3.5GHz.
(2) 3.5GHz Certification Launch planning
To attend this topic you will be updated with the certification
launch steps, the related issues among profile MP05 and MP09, MP10,
MP12 and will be also conceivably coincident with the release of
CRSL version.
(3) Multi-profile Cost for Certification and Recertification
To attend this topic you will be aware of the budget plan for multiple
profiles (such as MP05 and MP09, MP10, MP12). It will support your
market plan.
(4) CWG RPT ad-hoc beginning in Dallas
The topic will involve establishing Pass/Fail criteria by collecting
actual test results over a period of time and number of products.
This ad-hoc will kick-off discussion on how to collect, filter,
and use those results. The CWG/TWG member who is interested is encouraged
to attend as well.
(5) 6th Mobile and 1st Network Interoperability Plugfest in Taipei,
Taiwan on November 16-22, 2008
It is carried out to primarily validate and verify the interoperability
of a vendor's equipment with other vendors' equipment. Event

RF and EMC
Certification & Testing Seminar
The seminar
will focus on RF and EMC certification. In addition to the topics
including latest RF and EMC testing standards, FCC/CE test items
and digital products testing requirements, we will also demonstrate
the difference between the new and old versions of EN55022, and
specify the testing statutes on Japan WiMAX in order to help vendors
testing and certifying their products.

exhibition, training (2 days prior to the event) with the conference.
