Bureau Veritas ADT has completed the testing of the FIRST 3.5GHz WiMAX Forum Certified product

WiMAX Forum announced first batch of 3.5GHz WiMAX Forum Certified products. One of them is certified through Bureau Veritas ADT's assistance. That is ZTE's base station, ZXMBW B9100(BBU)-R9100(RRU), operating at 3.4-3.6GHz Frequency Band, 5MHz, 7MHz and 10MHz Bandwidths, TDD mode (Profile MP09, MP10 and MP12). With ZTE's great cooperation during testing, Bureau Veritas ADT finalized all the Certification Process in an efficient way. WiMAX Forum's news release

The validation of two new 2.3GHz certification profiles MP2300T-1 (2.3GHz,8.75MHz) & MP2300T-2 (2.3GHz,5 & 10MHz) will be performed on October 1st, 2009. And Certification will be initiated around the end of year 2009 / Jan 2010. top

Bureau Veritas ADT Certification Center accredited as NCC RCB to launch NCC Certification Service

Bureau Veritas CPS Taoyuan Branch Certification Center (formerly ADT Certification Center) obtained Regulatory Certification Body (RCB) authorized by Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) and National Communications Commission (NCC) to issue Taiwan Low-Power Radio-Frequency Device (LPD) certificate and Telecommunication Terminal Equipment (TTE) certificates. Thus, the Certification Center is pleased to announce that we are qualified to issue NCC certificate, including LPD, Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), and Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) from Feb. 13, 2009. read more top

China modifies the format of Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Code

In order to accord with the English abbreviation of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of the People's Republic of China, "CMII" shown in the Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Code has been modified to "CMIIT".

The issued "Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate" and its type approval code corresponding to original type approval code format are still valid during their specified term. read more top

China implements testing sample retention of China Compulsory Certification in testing labs and applicants

In order to guarantee certification effectiveness, ensure sample's truthfulness and facilitate the factory inspection and market surveillance, China Quality Certification Center (CQC) will implement testing sample retention in testing laboratories. As of March 1st, 2009, products with lower acceptance within the market surveillance and higher risk concerns,

• Audio & Video: Set Top Boxes, DVD Players
• ITE: Switching Power Supplies, Power Supplies/Chargers

will endure to the compulsory samples retention.

Testing laboratories are in charge of sealing and retaining the samples for 2 years after issuance of the certificates. The samples are returnable to applicant after 2 years. Applicants shall do their utmost to keep them well and shall not cease the contention until 6 months after the certificates are revoked / deregistered. read more top

Implementing measure of EuP Directive 2005/32/EC for simple STB published in OJEU

On Feb. 5th, 2009, the ecodesign implementing measure for simple set-top boxes was published in OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union). The Regulation (No 107/2009) shall enter into force on the 20th day following its publication and apply as from one year after entry into force.
