Seminar: Standard Trends of Wireless & Mobile Communications

Till early 2009, there have been 39 Taiwanese companies joining WiMAX Forum, which demonstrates our enthusiasm in joining this organization. This year¡¦s first WiMAX Forum Member Meeting was held in Orlando on Feb. 5~10. Thus, this seminar will share the focuses of the Meeting and topics of AWG, CWG, MWG and TWG¡¦s meetings. Seminar: WiMAX Forum Taiwan Member Meeting

The Meeting will share the focuses of this year¡¦s 1st WiMAX Forum Member Meeting held in Orlando on Feb. 5~10. Did you miss GSMA Mobile World Congress held on Feb. 16~19? New Nepal Type Approval Requirement for Telecommunications Devices

Pursuant to Section 13(f) of the Telecommunications Act, 1997(2053), manufacturers / authorized representatives of manufacturers are, effective from June 1, 2008, required to get Type Approval for the following telecommunications equipments from Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) prior to import and/or sale in Nepal.

VCCI abolishes paper submission and initiates new internet submission from April 1, 2009

In order to provide more efficient and rational service, VCCI (Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment) informed that paper submission of the Conformity Verification Report will be abolished on March 31, 2009 and only internet submission will be accepted from April 1, 2009. A new version of internet submission system will initiate then, which enables a better data management. top

The MEPS Requirement for Set Top Box in Australia and New Zealand

The MEPS (Minimum Energy Performance Standards) programs are mandatory in Australia and New Zealand which were enforced on December 1, 2008. Regulations specify the general requirements for digital TV set top box. The STB must be measured in accordance with the standard AS/NZS 62087.2.1. To comply with the MEPS, a STB must not exceed the power limits specified as below.
